Case back:BULOVA and serial number Inside case back:BULOVA,10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE BEZEL,STAINLESS BACK,NEW YORK Movement:10BC 15 jewels dated 1948(48) Dial:Salmon coloured with applied gold even numbers and dots where the odd numbers should be.Sub seconds dial is marked every 10 seconds.Bulova signature is also gold raised letters. Case:Tonneau shaped with engraving on the lugs. Crown:Unsigned The closest I could find in the database is the 1946 Aviator.Case matches but te dial is different.

I seems like this engraving was narrowed down to only being found on the Aviator. While the dial is different, I would go along with the Aviator ID.
