I believe this to be a 1948 Playboy. It matches a 1948 b/w ad found here. The case size is 25mm x 33.3mm and 16.8mm space between lugs and 7.2mm thick. Please verify my educated guess of the model name and any other info. you may have.
Agreed, and it appears to be a a first for the database. There were 3 watches in this casing in 1948/49. The Captain (plain case on leather) and Groom (engraved case sides on expansion) had rounded numbers with an Art Deco appearance and stick hands. The Playboy had more classic angular numbers style and hands as seen.. Ad is from 1948.

The dial on the Captain dial doesn't have numerals around the seconds hand and the subject watch does. The Captain doesn't have the seconds track enclosed between two square lines like a railroad track and the subject watch does. The Captain also has a different font for the number 4 on the dial than the subject watch.
