The watch is identified as having belonged to my husband's grandmother. The case indicates 10K gold, yellow in color. It has a white tonneau face with gold numbers and hands. There are silver fan-shaped plaques above and below the face each set with 4 small diamonds. The wrist band is a fine gold mesh. The movement has 17 jewels. The movement also shows an asterisk, and based on when my husband's grandmother would have owned it and the style, I have dated the watch to 1941, but have been unable to identify the model.
Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your family heirloom with us. It is a beautiful watch in a two-tone gold filled case with 8 diamonds. The diamonds will be real and it has a lovely and unique design. I searched the full and partial ads and didn't find a match. It will be an Unknown for us unless we find an ad but it is a very nice addition to the database.

Thank you for the efforts to help identify my watch. I, too, have spent hours looking through adverts and photos on every website I could find with no luck. I did find a watch that looks identical for sale on Etsy, but there was no more information about the model.
