2 Stars is a 'Tentative ID' Gents - all aspects of the Watch match the vintage 'SENATOR' ad apart from the Bezel engraving.

This is a Tentative ID: Whoever gave the Watch 1 Star - let's get the rating system right or give reason why it is not the 'SENATOR'.

It's a 1935 Senator all day! It appears that these other Senators were not advertised.

If it was the black one I would give it 4 stars!

Yep... I've got three of these I think... two toned... gold... and white gold.... though I don't have the engraved bezel... curious though.. I don't know that I've seen many with the engraving.

I'm seeing angled steps rather than squared steps.

How about the Alexander? I'm seeing square steps and side engraving.

I just picked up this watch, haven't added it to the db yet, I think it is the Alexander shown in the ad above. The engraving is an elongated diamond alternating with square diamond. It looks very close to this watch but I just can't tell if it's the same.

Check the lug areas.

Geoffs' example above has a sloping transition from the Bezel to the lug similar to the 'LONE EAGLE' of era.

The 'SENATOR' Case lug is more defined.
