Watch Description

Hello and thanks for accepting me to join MyBulova I have this watch purchased on a online auction site in the UK but have no idea which model it is.

I have searched the models on My Bulova but nothing comes up as an exact match although some are very similar.

The date code is a 0 circle presumably 1934? and has a very pleasing two tone case and very clean crystal

Inside the case it says Watch Star Case Company with the serial number 849253 but I can`t see a movement serial number

The case back is hinged

Someone did a beautiful job on this watch refurb.  Unfortunately it's not a Bulova case.  We would call this a non-conforming.  It is a Bulova movement in a non'Bulova case.  Pretty though.

Thr style is mid to late 1920's the movement is most likely from 1934, though it could be 1925.

I also believe this is non-confirming.  I do not recognize this case design being used by Bulova.

Non conforming case with a 1934 Bulova movement.

I have to agree. Whilst Bulova did at one time use the Star Watch Case Company for some of their watches I don't think thet did so in the mid 1930s. By this time Bulova were using their own cases.

Thanks for sharing it - and welcome to myBulova. This is a beautiful watch! While I agree that it isn't all Bulova and we'll have to relegate it to the "Non-Conforming" bin, I would wear this watch everyday and be VERY happy with the purchase. I love it, PLUS it's in fabulous condition - WOW, great find.

I agree with you Mr. Baker. That's the best looking non-conforming Bulova I've ever seen. Whoever put that watch together did a fantastic job.
