Incorrect case Serial Number given, owner has used the external numbers instead of the internal ones.

This watch will probably date earlier than 1934.

I think I PM'ed Mike for the inside case back info (and a picture if possible), but missed the use of the outside case serial number.  Geoff has one of these and he already commented that his is in fact stamped Bulova Quality on the inside case back.

Yes, with two sets of case numbers, in and outside.

Same ad print company? Same mistake?

Not convinced the adverts are correct. Why is it we don't see any main stream adverts showing this watch as the LE. It totally clashes with the other LEs of the same time period. Could be ads from the same jeweler or ad design house that took liberties in using the name.

Side note, from the back it certainly looks like a CC LE, so maybe that's where they made the mistake in ID.

Ad also states 'new model'

Of course it states "newest model", because that's what it is. It also states: "A new model" in the 1932 ad. There was the Tonneau model LE II after the CCLE, then the Step-side LE III, then this model, so why would anyone mistake this for the CCLE?

Why is it so hard to accept there is another Lone Eagle?

It may seem precious to collectors, but to Bulova it was a great moneyspinner, and was not placed upon a pedestal.

I am still going with the Trident.

Adverts are a year apart.

We have no examples of 1933 LE's.

Just because it is the same print used does not mean it is a mistake made twice, how many Watertite ads use the same print models, but nothing is said about them being "a mistake".

How many ads do we need for a confirmation?

The plain case is the Trident, we see NO engraved Trident ads, after viewing hundreds and hundreds of them., I don't think you realize how many ads I look at every day when I'm on a search.

Why is it we don't see mainstream ads for DOZENS of models?
