The band was a variant issue.

Mr Bakers Watch has a refinished Dial - this Dial showing in this Watch is obviously not refinished.

I dug out these 10 dials out of the archives. Each one is slightly different from the next... although they are nearly identical in size.

All of them are for a 10AN, and any one of them would fit this case.

BUT... only one (if that) is correct. Any watchmaker at any period in time could swap out an original for any one of these dials and for most, it would appear OK.

Top row Center looks closest to the Dial depicted in the vintage ad...which is Dated 1928.

IMO, the Dial showing in the subject Watch is original to the Case.

Like I said...  only one is correct (if any). I may not even have the dial that is shown in the ad.

There are probably more dial variants that aren't in my inventory.

I'm not sure if I have ever seen an ad depicting a BULOVA (especially a tonneau) in which the contour of the inner minutes track didn't VERY closely if not PERFECTLY reflect the countour of the case.

the recent 1933? sky king ad shows the common angled bezel sky king case w/ a tonneau inner minute track.

The ad also shows the 1 & 11 setting just above the minutes track like Mr. Bakers, yours are off to the side of the track. The track is longer on the top & bottom, and shorter on the sides. The numbers are also smaller than the ad.

The minutes track on yours looks like a tall skinnier barrel, and the ad shows a shorter fatter barrel.

Then there is the issue of the 1930 cut corner ad, and no movement date on yours...Case serial if we can go by that, could also be 1922, way too many "Non Conforming" items for it to be 3 Star, or even a Treasurer, other than the case.

Well Gents, this Case did not exist in 1922 and judging the wear to the Dial it's been in this bezel for a very long time as no secondary wear marks are visible.

The Dial has not been refinished as the Crystal was badly burned by 'hot' Radium when found.

So.....,

go figure.

The dial refinisher would of copied the add . We need another untouched dial to make that call I think.
