Hey Wayne,

Good SCORE! I believe the crystal proportions for this BB glass "Y" (Convex shaped) bezel opening are either:  25.75 x 15.5mm? Or 27.9 x 15.5mm??

I had one of these a few months ago that I sold to a friend... along with several others, I wish I still had for reference!

Best :-)  Scott

P.S. The ad I posted was from 1934, so I suspect then this model was released 12/32? Or sometime in 1933?? Or was that rather a 1.5+ year gap between the movement's manufacture... to this model's release???

Best :-)  Scott

Hi Wayne,

beautiful watch.  i have one similar.  it has art deco stepped case in white and yellow gold (10K RGF?) and the case is hinged.  it was given to my father in 1934 (engraving on case back) but movement is dated, 'X,' for 1933.  movement is 10AN Fifteen Jewels Adjusted.  back of case serial # is 553330.  on the inner case it reads, Bulova Quality, below is a number/letter code that may be from the watchmaker-

26L(L in script)P1952; below that is a formal #, 3198978.

She runs like a top and who knows when last serviced.  today is its "birthday," as it was given to my Dad on May 5, 1934.  77 years and still a beautiful piece of functioing craftsmanship!  also no sign of Swiss marking, do you think it is all American?

Any information you or any one else can offer would be greatly appreciated!  I do not have pictures because i only have an old fashioned camera and photo is too many MB.  do you have a recommendation for a good, simple digital camera that would help with this?

thanks again, sam

Wayne,

Did some more research with help of ads from 1933.  I now think my Dad's watch was a Webster: 2 tone gold pyramid case, and 15 jewlels.  what do you think?  thanks, Sam

I tried to delete but do not think it worked. please let me know.  Sam
