Watch Description

So did we ever figure out what this one was?  It really doesn't match the Sky King because the top and bottom bezel lacks the vertical striped etching.  Also the etching design isn't the fishes.  What is this?

Hrmm... well there seems to be two different ads, showing two different Sky King versions.  The one with the white etched... and then this one that matches this watch?

I guess they're both Sky Kings?  Which would make this one a Sky King as well?

Sky King, a very nice one too - we've debated this one enough. The dial is a bit different, maybe the numbers are larger then they usually are?

Yeah I dunno Geoff.  Could be a custom job out of the jewelers for the guy.  The longer we do this the more I think "upsale" options possibly like that happened all the time.  Just like when you go to buy a new car.  We've got this and this and this you can get that will really make your car so much sweeter!  Blah blah blah... but I do believe that's what happened the more we check these out.

I'd go Sky King two ticks tentative.  Jewel diff btwn 15 and 17 no biggie.  It sorta looks like the ad has two horizontal engraved patterns, while the watch has one engraved horizontal part and the white gold part next to it is smooth.

1928 movement and a 1931 case. I would speculate a movement and dial swap.
