Preliminary diagnosis is 1929 Franklin. The case is marked "Bulova New York" with a Jan 11, 1927 patent date. The movement is a 15 jewel 10AN consistent with other Franklins in the database. It's marked 1929. This one runs and keeps time. The crystal isn't right but I like it and I'm having a hard time finding one that is standard at the moment. I included a picture with the band on the chance that it may turn out to be original.

I'm pretty sure you are right about the band. The ad certainly looks like that's what it's got. Also, this band fits me comfortably and almost none of the original link bands from the twenties do. I included a picture of it just in case but I have at least one other watch with a band like this. I think it's a later replacement.
