Watch Description

Here's a late 1920s Ladies' engraved gem!  I believe the case back stamp and number: 9691312 indicate 1929.  The movement is stamped 1927 "square" with the serial number 108208.
It has a hinged back case and dust shield over the movment.

I found this 1929 Clare as a reference.  Is this an accurate match https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1929-clare-1965?

Dear slsummers, you watch is indeed the Clare and is from 1927, also confirmed by the movement code. The year 1927 is an exception on the convention that the first digit represents the year. Key is the signature containing "American Standard", the signature used from 1925 until 1927 before is moved to the "New York" signature". In 1927, the first digit can be 7 or 8 or 9, all with American standard signature. Luckily, this mess only happened in 1927.
