The Watch matches the ad for the 1926 'PRESIDENT' on several points but misses on others.

Watch is showing a sub Seconds Dial and the Case bezel is not engraved.

Watch is a very close match to the Lindburgh presentation Watch.

IMO

....looks as if Lindy got the wrong Hands, heh!

* New ad above Dated 1924 shows the Green Gold filled option - Model 39744.

Thank You Wayne.

Looks like a very rare plain bezel President to me. You have 3 stars here when you change the header name to President!

I was checking my 1925 President & low & behold it's 14K green gold fil also.

I'm certainly leaning towards an early President model also.

I'm guessing the Minute Hand is incorrect?

Cosmetic to say the least. Easy update to cathedral. This a rare watch & great addition to early Bulova history. On-site we now have two 1925 Presidents both green gold fill. Now with this 1926 President with green gold fill & a match to the Lindburg presentation watch from Arde Bulova (except for the solid gold case of course) and supported by an ad. Green gold cases are also very rare. Only four in the data base for mens cases that I can recall.

Yes the minute hand is a slightly later version.

It needs the same minute hand as that seen on the 1926 Conqueror

Sounds simple enough

lol

* new 1926 ad shows a nice clear example of the Hand combination.

Never, ever saw a plain cased President in any ads, this looks like it, bottom left  unnamed 1928 ad.

So what happened to the cheaper version of 29744 possibility?  At least we have a model number if it's a tentative match....or is there too much uncertainty if the "cheaper version" also had a different model number?

Nothing is wrong with the 29744, its the main contender. I just thought that by putting a different ad up, it may raise a slight spark of interest.
Both this and the "presentation watch" look to be the same model, and without an ad a Prez it ain't!
