9AN in a President?

I can't read the movement. We know 1925 Presidents used 9A movements. Upgraded to 9AT around 1927.

Maybe Arde gave Lindy a one-time-good-deal!

Nice catch...I was on that auction but spent my budget on another before it.  Glad we didn't get tangled up in the bidding.  Glad somebody here nabbed it.

Year Model Mov SN# Case SN# Jewels

1925             9A                   74301                           6467450                          15

1925             9A                   75439                           5217451                          17

Stephen you may want to ad these two. Top is mine & bottom one is Geoff Bakers.

Note on comment below. Both of the above 9A movements above are marked SWISS just north of the winding wheel on mvt # 74301 below & a bit left of the winding wheel on mvt # 75439.

Perhaps the Movements are numbered by linge as Bulova had more than one facility churning these things out?

Interestingly the 9A is not stamped Swiss nor USA (that I can see at this time) and the seriel number is stamped across the barrel bridge and not curving around the ratchet wheel.

Thinking realistically, how many Watch movements could one facility produce per Day given the manufacturing capabilities of 1926.

* although not of era being discussed the image above shows Bulova's facilities as of 1950?

During the 20's and early 30s the movements were not made in the US. They were cased there and maybe assembled but not manufactured.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
