Can anyone suggest a repair service for my Accutron Spaceview II Kinetic.  First remake of the most famous Bulova Accutron 214 Spaceview. This model follows the same avantgarde style of the first model made in the 60`s, even matching the green color of the circuit board and back setting ring. Produced by first originator of the kinetic movements in Switzerland - Jean d`Eve

Hello all. New to the group. I have a 1930 Sylvette (my wife's) with a 6AP movement. It needs a new hair spring, but I can't find one anywhere. Is there a compatible one out there? I heard Breguet may be a possibility, but can't find any info. Any help would be appreciated!

How to correctly use a Multimeter to diagnose Accutron issues

Hello Everyone.  I am so happy to have found this forum.

I have been a hobbyist watchmaker for some time, and want to learn more about repairing Accutrons.

I know some, but perhaps enough to be dangerous.  I picked up a 1963 214 Accutron (401 variant), installed a new battery, and it is totally dead.

Oceanographer R Crystal Replacement Help

New to watchmaking (8 mos) and this forum. Bulova has quickly become my favorite and I have acquired and successfully serviced a few Oceanographers, Sea Kings and a Convoy to date.  I need help...

My 1971 Oceanographer R cs# c3013 movement 11anacb has no crystal....

The crystal needed is 1404-1AY but can't find it anywhere...the front of the case inside dimension is 29.8mm and the bezel ring measures 29.9mm id.

Is there interchangeability with other Bulova armored crystals or a recommended size/source for replacement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Vintage Watch Repair, The Do's and Don'ts

The Do's and Don'ts of Vintage Watch Repair by John V. - Time & Again

After hearing many horror stories about Vintage Watch repairs here is a quick guide and what to look out for.

Do not send your watch to a United States P.O Box. Contact the Watchmaker or Company and ask for a physical address and Google that address. A watch sent to a USPS P.O. Box is a red flag. It may be legit but it could very well be a setup where you may never see your watch again. If the watchmaker cannot supply a physical address then run away!

Hello, I have an original band for the  1950 Bulova Academy Award W but it's too small. I located another band and I'd like to add or take away links. Does this band come apart? I'd attach a picture but I'm not sure how.

This is the band on someone else's watch on here but the same as I have
