Watch Crystal Reference Lists

Submitted by Andersok on August 21, 2014 - 5:36pm

I am looking to see if anyone may have reference lists for some of the various crystal brands available. I'm hoping that someone may have lists in an Excel format or similar; but whatever format is available will do.

I am looking for the following brands of crystals, and any others that may be out there:

-Watch Craft W-C, and similar Rock Craft R-C

-SUC

-Federal

I am also curious to know how others manage their inventories of crystals. I'm sure I am not alone with needing a way to know what I need and what I have on hand without sorting through the actual pieces. Right now I have a growing assortment of G-S crystals and I have converted the current G-S pdf catalog (from their website) into an Excel format that can be searched, filtered, sorted, and managed. I've also added to it some of the older sizes not in the online catalog, like the R, S, T, X, Y; though not 100% complete. I'd like to do the same thing with the other brands out there and would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks -Ken

Sorry, nothing here.

While I'm here, anyone got the pricelists for  the 1960's? My computer kind of "mislaid" them when it went bye-bye last time.

Bobbee  I'll resend the link for you to download them again.  I've made the PDF files smaller without much comprimise to the useful information.  If someone esle wants me to send a link to download, PM me your outside email.  A google email works better, but only on the downloaders end.  It saves a step or two (mostly promo to get folks to use Google service LOL).

I can also send a link to the crystal catalogs I have....if you want these too, just PM me an email.

Wow-thanks for taking the effort to parse the PDF info out into some format which we can (potentially) query!!  I've been meaning to try this again for the Bulova Price Lists too...but without much luck in past tries.

We should have a bunch of crystal catalogs from various manufactures and dates on site.  I think they are downloadable as PDF's, but don't remember for sure.   Various members purchased these over the years, and all agreed to share their finds with the Bulova collecting community.  I may have most of these on my pseudo FTP site, and can send you a link to allow downloading....but they should be on site somewhere.

Again- great work/effort on getting the catalogs you do have access to into a friendly and more useful format!!  Iv'e always rambled on and on  ad nausium about third degree normality...but one can teach a parrot to use those words :)    First normal is a great start!! What did they call it 20 years ago- a "flat file"?

Will,

I'll look around again for the various catalogs, and would also appreciate your links. It really takes a quality pdf to work with; a pdf created from an image is almost impossible to turn into something useful. I'll send you my work-in-progress with the GS lists.

Thanks
