Know clue what i have,

I hope this is the right section to post this in. If not please move to the correct section.

I was reciently given my Great Grandfather Bulova Pocket Watch by Uncle.

All I know is the watch was gone through and cleaned about 10 to 15 years ago. From what I understand there were no parts were replaced. The watch still works.

There are no markings that I can see, I don't know how to pull the backing off to see if there are any other markings,

Here are a couple pics.

Tuxedo or a Montgomery perhaps? We would need to see what's under the hood, so to speak. There will be markings on the movt to indicate the calibre, and also the jewel count and even date.

How do I remove the backing?, or should I just bring it to a watchsmith and have them remove the backing plate to get the info needed.

Any known Bulova authorized  watchsmith in the Baton Rouge, LA. area?

If you haven't done this before, a certfied watchmaker will be happy to open it for you. If you go to the NAWCC website you will find listings for watchmakers that may be in your area.

The best place to add your watch is here: Add a Bulova watch

Once there with all the details added the panel will then review.
