Hi. My name is Mike and I'm from Northeast Pa. U.S.A. I'm not new to watch collecting or watch forums, for that matter. Although my collection at this point consists mainly of Seikos, I have always had a soft spot for Bulova Watches. I have been collecting watches most of my adult life. As a kid,my uncle, who worked for Bulova had given me my first "real" watch as a communion gift. It was a Bulova Oceanographer. Over the years, the watch was lost. A couple of years ago a good friend from another forum had gifted me the same watch. This is one of the prized watches in my collection. It's a '68 Snorkel(I believe it's a '68, the caseback is worn and it is difficult to clearly read the date code). I'd like to post a pic of the watch, but I'm having troubles doing so. Also in my collection I have a '77 333 Oceanographer, as well as older Bulovas and Caravelles. I actually stumbled across this site after researching a watch for a member of another forum(the watch was a 666 Oceanographer quartz model that I had never seen before). I found this site very informative and joined. As a collector, my watch collection is always ever changing. I'm always on the hunt. I guess it's the thrill of the chase kind of thing. I would say that my grail would have to be the ever elusive orange dialed Snorkel.
Cheers!
Mike
Welcome to mybulova Mike, from another "old hippie"
Just don't blame us if your Seiko collection starts to get crowded with Bulova's... My Bell-Matic & Sports 200 Chrono are very out numbered..
Under the home drop-down tab will be a sub-tab labled "Add a Watch", click on that and you should be able to post yours.
