I've been lost in the links for many hours over the last two days. I kinda shuddered when I saw 3998 results for "Bulova" in the NYS Historic Society link.  Not much new, but I'm looking and enjoying doing so.  Also got lost for a while in the link you posted where you found the Sponsor ad.

Here is another source, but it can be hard going as you download the sometimes sizeable pdf's, then look through until you find what your search criteria indiactes.

The upside is some fantastic articles/images, many in full colour and the resolution is perfect!

I did a search by keywork Bulova.  I downloaded all the pubs in PDF with "hits" for Bulova from earliest through 1959..  The "hits" were beginning 1926 through the 1980's (I think).  I'm up to the 50's now, and will check out the "hits" once I've downloaded them all.  If there's anything new or interesting, I'll place snippets of the ads in the corrisponding forum decades thread.

This is wonderful! I will definitely help go through these thanks for sharing. As a side note to all of the panel members, I have a show at the NAWCC museum in may. Admin, JP, and bourg01 already know about it. If anyone would like for me to touch upon there favorite aspects of this wonderful brand please let me know. I will be posting a thread explaining my purpose for the show and what i wish to accomplish, please take a look and give me any feedback you wish. Thanks again plains! !

So what I do for these various "search engines" is a global search for "Bulova".  Then I download the PDF's into a folder.  They are already searchable by keyword- that's how we find them. I have Adobe Acrobat Professional (but the free reader may do it too).  I open Acrobat, and tell it to search for the keyword Bulova in the folder where I've saved all the PDF's.  It searches all the PDF's within that folder, and gives me a little "next" or "previous" button, which I click.  This brings up the "hit" in a window, and if it's interesting or new, I simply save that page as a JPG, or if there's a bunch of info besides the ad or Bulova article, I do only a screen capture rectangle to get only the Bulova stuff from that page.

I save the jpg files in the following format   Date of Pub; Name of Pub, Page of Pub (only if I'm doing a screen capture of a part of a page); and the Name of the new or interesting Bulova model(s); Date of capture.
Example:    1947Sept07AdTheAmericanLegionPg08Commodore_20150307

The last part -the date of capture- was requested by Admin so folks don't accidently upload two files with the same exact file name, as this can confuse the backend.

It takes a little time, but.....what we can do is let folks know which set of pubs we have done this to, so others don't duplicate the work.

Today I've downloaded about 50 PDF's of The American Legion magazine.  There were Bulova "Hits" beginning 1926 through 1989.  Now I'm gonna do the "next" thing described above, and see if there's anything interesting.  If it's a full page ad w/ nice graphics OR really interesting, I send it to Admin to consider adding to the main ad database. If it's not quite as new, but still interesting or a different take on a model for which we have an ad, I post it in the corresponding Forum New Bulova Watch Ads (by the decade into which it fits).

It's relatively quick to do (w/ high speed internet connection and Acrobat software), and it's fun to find the new information and useful for our endeavors.

Maybe we can make a forum thread where we post which database or publications we are searching, so we don't duplicate efforts?

There's a lot of Bull...I mean Bulova out there, so have fun and enjoy....
