1963 Sea King Crown?

Submitted by Maple1 on March 4, 2017 - 12:33am

I purchased this Bulova recently and took it in for a cleaning. They replaced the crown but I think they popped on a generic one. I have seen new old stock crowns available online. Does anyone know the correct size of crown or better yet the part or stock number?

Thanks, I found charts of crowns but unfortunately I do not know what the numbers mean. I am new to the world of Bulova watches. The case is marked M3. The original rounded crown in the photo is the original. Any idea of which crown number might be the right one for the original watch?

Maple1 - the catalog of interchangeable parts lists crown part number by movement model. What movement do you have?

His movement should be an 11AFC

This takes a #3114 crown in white which has the dome

or also takes a #342 crown in white which is flat on the outer face.

Many thanks Daca10290. I see 3114 is available on ebay. It will be good to have it looking original again.
