Movement purchased Oct 2014.

Bulova W. Co.,  AAI,  17 Jewels, 3 Adj., Serial #15398, appears to be a "13" engraved as well (see pic).

Now to find a period case to go with it.

Anyone notice the difference between the three 15 jewel movements and the seventeen jewel one?

Not just the bridges (which is just a design difference), but the whole movement looks different.

Rob?

His Excellency XX

I just purchased a 1949 “His Excellency” on E-Bay and am concerned about the information on the movement.  Other examples appear stamped with this appears engraved?  I’m suspicious regarding its legitimacy?  Any thoughts?

The movement has a serial number on it, and the AAI is an early movement - it likely dates pre-1926. We can give you a much better ID if you submit the complete watch for identification HERE.
