  I REPAIRED A 6BO MOVEMENT POWERING UP A MISS UNIVERSE 1953 L3 17 J FOR MY FIRST COUSIN WHOM RESIDES IN KEYSTONE HEIGHTS,FLA. 32656

SHE WAS GIVEN THE WATCH WHEN SHE WAS 9 YEARS OLD FOR HER BIRTHDAY. SHE HAS ALWAYS TAKEN A GREAT DEAL OF PRIDE IN THE WATCH AND ONLY WORE IT ON SUNDAYS TO CHUCH (PER MY AUNT EILEENS INSTRUCTIONS).

THIS YEAR 2014 THE WATCH QUIT. SHE SENT IT TO ME AND I FOUND IT NEEDED TO BE CLEANED,OILED,ADJUSTED ALONG WITH A REPLACEMENT MAINSPRING & BARREL ARBOR. TESTED THE WATCH FOR OVER A WEEK AND GOT IT TO MAINTAIN +/- 5 SEC. DAY

I WAS SATISFIED AND SENT IT BACK TO HER, SHE WORE IT TO CHURCH AND ONE DAY DECIDED TO DO LAUNDRY AFTER CHURCH, SINCE HER BAND AND WATCH WERE 10KT WHITE GOLD FILLED WITH A CLASP BAND (BULOVA) SHE SOMEHOW CAUGHT THE BAND ON A PARTICLE OF CLOTHING AND OFF WENT THE WATCH, FACE DOWN TO A TILE FLOOR!

THE RESULTS WERE DEVASTATING! SHE SENT THE WATCH BACK TO ME AND I FOUND THE CRYTAL BEING GLAS HAD SHATTERED INTO A ZILLION PIECES AND SCARRED THE DIAL, BENT THE HANDS AND BROKE THE BALANCE STAFF AND HOLE JEWEL.

I REPAIRED THE WATCH AGAIN AND FELT SO BAD FOR HER SINCE I KNEW HOW TREASURED THE WATCH IS SINCE MY AUNT GAVE IT TO HER AND HAS BEEN DECEASED FOR OVER 10 YEARS, THAT I TOLD HER IT ONLY NEEDED A NEW CRYSTAL. VERY HAPPY!LADY AGAIN AND ONLY WEARS IT TO CHUCH LIKE HER MOTHER TOLD HER!
